There is not set any age, but you will have to be able to take care of yourself. If you travel with someone in your family or your friends you should be okay, no matter what age, though our general rule is that you must be able to take care of yourself. The police MIGHT demand that all of you under 15 bring a note from one of your parents.
How many tickets can each person buy?
We are 6 people going together, do we need to first buy 5 tickets and then 1 more?
Yes, that is correct. :-)
How long time do I have inside the shop?
72 hours. (NB! This may change during the sale.)
What are the chances that I don't get a ticket?
It is impossible to say, but in the past there have been spare tickets left when TG started. This is because they have been returned to us, but we have not had time to resell them.

No, this year we will not send out bracelets by mail, because this system was not as efficient and time saving as we hoped.
When will PTN send the PTN-cards?
Around mid February.
Do we have to choose seats in advance, or can we just pick one when we get there?
A seatingtable will be available at http://partyticket.net, where you can choose a seater who will seat you and your friends together.
When will the seating table open?
What is a seater?
A seater is the person you choose at http://partyticket.net to pick a seat for you. A seater can place as many as he or she wants.
How much space do I have available at my seat?
Your spot on the table will be 80 cm wide and 60 cm deep.(Just like The Gathering 2005)
Will there be a -insert name here- compo at The Gathering this year?
We don't have any information about this yet, please be patient.
What speed will the Internet connectivity be?
1 Gbit/s provided by BaneTele.
How much power will I get?
1 ampere? Isn't that next to nothing?
Not really, if you bring your computer+monitor and a stereo, it is sufficient. With 5200 participants, The Gathering pulls more electricity in four days than Oslo Plaza Hotel uses in *one year*. There's something to think about. :-)
Can I bring my own fridge or any other equipment for making toast, coffee etc?
No, that will blow the fuses and make everyone angry at you.
Where can I buy food?
There are some grocery stores nearby, and also a Statoil that is open 24/7. It will be sold fast food inside, but we do recommend that you eat something else than hambugers all week.
Can I bring my own chair or sofa?
Well, it depends on the size and where your seat is. We have some fire restrictions to follow, and it is not allowed to block the space between each row.
How is the security?
We can not guarantee that nothing will be stolen, but we do have a security crew that will do their best for our security and well-being. It might be a good idea to bring small gadgets with you when you leave your seat, or make sure some of your friends are watching your stuff.
What if my computer or other stuff is stolen/broken at The Gathering?
The Gathering is not responsible for any economical losses, direct or indirect, due to circumstanses connected to the event. However, we have never had any big problems with theft or malice earlier and we don't expect this year to be any different. We do however recommend you to bring a valid travel insurance, just in case..
Where can I apply for a crew position?
How old do I have to be a part of the crew?
Some of the crew have age limits, like security for an example, and others don't. All in all the skills are more important than age.
How much work is it to be a crew member?
It depends on what crew you are in, some crews work 8 hour shifts (like info:desk), others work when there are things do.
I want to apply for a crew position, but I'm not sure if I will be accepted. Should I buy a ticket, or could I wait until I get an answer on my application?
You should buy a ticket just in case, if you get accepted in the crew you will get your ticket refunded. (670NOK.)
Where can I find you on IRC?
Some of us can be found on EFNet at #tg, but we do not know anything more than what's already on http://gathering.org.
