IN THE SPOTLIGHT : TG-GIRLS

The #1 mission for us in the Info:web crew is to entertain you
participators with useful (?) articles straight from the fray. Ok, we are here to provide neccesary information, too...
After our "successful" article, "the great queue", we had to think of something new and revolutionary to keep your attention. We investigated one of tg's greatest mysteries, the girls, who only seem to grow in strength and numbers every year.
We talked to three girls on various locations in "Vikingshipet". I think we both learned something about girls and computers that we didn`t know. To quote Fantonia: "Boys think that girls don't know computers, but that's wrong. A lot of girls know computers very well". All of our three interview objects seemed to have different opinions about our questions.
- Our three lucky girls were: Julianne aKa Kloppa, Mariann aKa Fantonia and Hanne aKa Vannjenta. And the questions was:
"Have you been at TG before?"
>Julianne : Yes, I was here in '98 and '99.
>Mariann : Yes, I was here last year ('99).
>Hanne : Well, I was here in '97, but without my computer. I was just following some friends and left after two days.
"Are you here alone?"
>Julianne/Mariann: Well, kinda, we are a lot of friends who knows each other, but we`re sitting at separate places.
>Hanne : I'm here with my boyfriend.
"Do you find TG male-dominated with mostly female entertainers (Tess) and few female participators?"
>Julianne/Mariann: There should have been more female participators, but the boys here are nice and helpful. And the entertaining doesn`t draw much attention because "nobody likes Tess."
>Hanne : I think it`s OK.
"What`s your expectations during your visit, and what are you going to do?"
>Julianne/Mariann: We are here to meet new people and friends, so we`re chatting much.It`s also nice to be among so many people, and it`s a very social and good environment.
>Hanne : I am here for various reasons, I spend a lot of time chatting, but I also play a lot of games. I want to learn stuff, visual basic, tracking, more html/web and graphic programs like photoshop and 3d studio max.
"Why do you think more and more girls go to TG?"
>Julianne : Girls can also use a computer, and someone tries to prove that at tg. Many girls are also taking an IT education.
>Mariann : Boys think that girls don't know computers, but that's wrong.
A lot of girls know computers very well. Some girls also joins their boyfriends like I do.
>Hanne : Well, I think most of them are here for internet usage, and to meet boys. But some are here to play games and other useful things too.
"Do you want to come back next year?"
>Julianne/Mariann: Yes.
>Hanne : Yes, I do.
