For those who take a purer pleasure in discovery, art, and innovation, Imagine Cup 2004 is the technology competition for you. Participate because you love to compete, because you have the perfect group or idea, or because you would be doing this anyway—even without this contest.
Fifty teams across four invitationals will represent their country in Brazil, but thousands more will surprise themselves (and us) with what they accomplish.
The deadline for entries to Imagine Cup is April 1st (before TG04). However; because of our partnership with Microsoft entries entered into Imagine Cup will be allowed to be entered into the competitions at TG04 as well. Also entries for Imagine Cup will not published before TG04. The "Rendering" (DX9)-competition have an extended deadline throughout the duration of The Gathering, meaning that DX9-demos complying with the rest of the rules from Imagine Cup can be entered in both great events.
In short; you can submit the same entry to both competitions
without violating the rules of either The Gathering or Imagine Cup - the DX9-part of the competition also have an extended deadline which allows you to work on your demo -after- the 1st of April.
