We wanted to see if girls are just as "geeky" as some of us boys.
We have interviewed Siren E. Hole aka Krapylet about what she is doin during The Gathering, and what kind of relationship she has to a computer and the computer community.

When a nerd is looking for a girl, there are three things about her that counts:
- Her interest for computers
- Her interest for computers
- Her interest for computers
If she has a good looking on top of the interest for computers, she is like heaven for a nerd.
We met the girl who must be every nerds dream here at The Gathering: Siren Elise Hole aka Krapylet. She is 18 years old, and started her TG-era in 2000.
We met Siren in the Vikingskip by the game area to ask her some questions about her relation to computers and specially The Gathering. Siren is a very cute girl, who was easy to talk to, and she was smiling all the time during the interview.
This year, which is her fifth TG, she’s travelling with some friends from a computerparty where she is a member of the crew. They are a group of people who sits in the centre of the Vikingskip, talking, playing games, watching movies, chats on IRC and having a great time during the Easter.
Siren calls her self a nerd, and when we asked for a reason we soon understood why. Instead of travelling to Egypt, she went to The Gathering 2004, and her opinion about The Gathering is that there are fewer girls this year than what it’s used to be, but that doesn’t stop Siren from having fun. All of her travelling mates, except one, are boys. And when we ask her about positive / negative sides of The Gathering 2004, we get the answer that it’s “TG TG “.
Siren has been in the computer community for a pretty long time, and she got a lot of experience. She is crew in a smaller party in Larvik, and she goes to a couple others computer gatherings during a year. She got skills in web design and she also knows a lot about network and the Internett. But when we ask her what she likes best inside the computer community, she says gaming, and we can’t believe what we just are hearing. A so smart girl is playing Counter Strike? I ask her why, and she says that CS is good for the part of the brain that is normally not in use. And it’s funny and sometimes even scary, she tells us with kind of an enthusiasm.
Even though she’s such a gamer, she also likes the scene and when she sees nice demos or listens to good music, she enjoys it.
Since there will be a competition in DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) we had to ask our Female-Nerd if she had tried the electric-dancing machines, and she had. Twice. She likes it, but she finds it frustrating when the arrows go too fast, or her feet moves too slow.
This is what the female-nerds are doing during their stay in the Vikingskip. So girl are you a nerd ?
