The Gathering hosted this year the first of four tournaments
in the European Cup 2004.
As much as 60 participants from different countries all over europe, came to
Hamar
to compete against each other, some with better chances to win than other, but
even though, everyone had the same spirit to compete among the worlds best computer
dancers.

09:00, saturday morning, the organizers - DDR Europe were ready for the first
competition in
the European Cup 2004. About 60 persons were gathered around the DDR-machines
ready
to compete against each other. There were also a lot of amateurs who were around
the competitors
watching the "professional" players.
A couple of minutes over nine, the first couple started to dance, and the crowd
was a little nervous.
They didn't know if they should clap and shout when the competitors were dancing,
or after they were
finished, but it worked out to be a very loud volume around the dancers.
After some hours they came to the finals, which were presented on the stage
and the champion of
the 1st competition should be decided. The top 10 players in the tournament
had been promised to
constitute DDR Team Europa, and they would get their own DDR-Europa Tshirt with
their name
sowd on.
The points they received on Hamar would be valid among the total scores in The
European Cup 2004.
